New Site

Hello! I’ve been thinking about this site in blogland, and decided to move more towards a blogging content solution than a community solution as I’d been previously running (postnuke). Basically, I found that certain features were not particularly utilized, so I slowly pared down the site. I found that I was left with a solution far larger than what I needed, and theming it was a severe pain.

So, I’ve switched (back) to b2 which is a pretty nice little php/mysql-based blogging solution, far as I can tell. However, there are a few changes. Firstly, if you had an account with the previous beerdrinker.org, it isn’t here yet. I will be moving accounts over. Also, I will be moving comments. Because they are attached to accounts, I haven’t done that yet. I will be creating accounts (unless you recreate yours first!) manually. I haven’t figured out what to do about passwords. If I have your true email, I’ll just send it to you.

Anyway, I’ve posted pretty much all the previous content from the site to here, and respected timestamps. There were very few changes beyond some formatting. Also, the Read More links are gone.
